This class is the ultimate way to introduce your student to a variety of disciplines. Class is held both inside and outside at our beautiful Foothill Campus (complete with playground). Furthermore, we are so blessed and excited to announce that Ms. Jana will co-teach the classes with Ms. Cristal. Ms. Jana retired from a 30+ year career as an elementary and special ed teacher.

The construction framing class will learn how to stick frame from the ground up. The best part of this class is whilst the student is learning to build, they will be giving back to their community by working on local senior’s projects like decks, stairs, handrails, and sheds. If there is interest, the students can also learn about alternative building methods such as cob, straw bale, earth ships, timber framing, and log cabin construction.

Learn to ride in western style! Groups are no bigger than 4 students per session. Lessons are once a week for an hour and a half. Your student will learn how to be a responsible and competent rider. Class is weather dependent; if it’s pouring we won’t ride but if it’s drizzling we will. Come be a part of our small community vegetable farm! We'll learn to start and transplant annual seedlings, learn farm and garden tricks and techniques, and take home some delicious food. Subjects include: picking seed varieties, crop planning, growing and transplanting seedlings, cultivation techniques, weed management strategies, cover cropping, composting, incorporating animals onto the farm, harvesting, soil testing, climate and site specific farm and irrigation design, and so much more.

Students will work together to complete common goals, discuss strategies, delegate tasks, and take on responsibilities as a team.
